Before opening any vehicle, we need to be reasonably satisfied that it is yours. This protects you as much as anyone else, and you should expect any legitimate operator to ask.

- The year, make, model and color of the vehicle
- The license plate number
- Where the keys are — visible inside, in the trunk, or in the ignition
What lockout service does and does not cover
We open the vehicle so you can get to your keys. That is the whole of it.
- We do not cut replacement keys
- We do not program key fobs or transponder chips
- We do not replace or repair locks
- We cannot help if the key is lost, broken, or was left somewhere else entirely
If your keys are lost rather than locked inside
These are different problems with different answers. If the key is genuinely gone, opening the doors does not get you moving, because you still have nothing to start the vehicle with.
In that case you generally need an automotive locksmith or a dealership to produce and program a key. If the vehicle needs to get to one of those, KLN Towing Service can tow it there.
A note on trying it yourself

The repair usually costs considerably more than the lockout would have. If you are locked out somewhere safe, waiting is almost always the cheaper decision.
